The "Brainiacs" have been busy!

Enjoy the "Photos of Learning!"

There has been learning about Force and Motion in science. Students proved their ideas in science by building marble coasters, roller coasters, and Tug of War. Some students accepted the challenge to expand their learning of Newton's Laws of Motion by creating slideshows about the topic and then presenting their work to the class!

Tug of War - Force and Motion

The students learned about diversity as we acknowledged the MLK holiday by choosing a person that represents some form of diversity.  The students researched this person's life, created an informative poster, and then presented this information in the first person at a Diversity Fair.

I hope you enjoyed the "Photos of Learning!"

The "Brainiacs" are busy learning!

Scientists built rollercoasters to learn about force and motion.

Students wrote their "Painted Essay" about the scientific skills they learned during the Mystery Powders unit.

Students created "ABC Quilts" based on aspects of the Red Clover book collection.

I look forward to sharing more "photos of learning!"

Happy holidays to all 3B families!!

Welcome to the place to see and experience all the learning by the "Brainiacs! They are a group of motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic learners, willing to help each other, listen to others, and always be ready for some FUN!!!

When the weather cooperates we visit the river for our "River rWriting."  Students write and share first person narratives from the perspective of a river dweller.

We also visit the Quechee Covered Bridge monthly to practice observational skills and narrative writing!

We meet with our K Buddies weekly!  Third graders get a chance to practice their social, reading, and activity skills with our younger peers! We read, "trick or treat" for stickers, and make holiday gifts to exchange with each other!!!

Students are scientists learning and creating their interactive lung models and life-size human body models, complete with models of all the body systems.

Students celebrate their positive choices with a recognition activity!  Each created a "supplies bag" for our ventures to the river, TOOLS, and eventually sugaring activities!

Students choose and research a country for their pre-holiday "Cultural Fair."

Families enjoy learning about a variety of countries.
